Our Digital Essentials courses are taught in our Computer Room at ESNLC. These are small classes with friendly and relaxed teachers that focus on improving students’ abilities and knowledge in the digital essentials space.

A small weekly class for pre-intermediate students to learn how to better use their mobile phone, iPad or other tablet device for personal and work use. This course is designed to build on the knowledge of mobile phones & tablets developed in our beginners program.

Intro to MS Word & Excel

A small weekly class for people who want to learn the basics of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel on a desktop computer (provided at the centre).
The skills taught in this course include:
- navigating Microsoft Word
- saving, editing and formatting documents
- creating tables
- navigating Microsoft Excel
- creating and formatting a simple spreadsheet
- applying simple formulas (eg. to calculate expenses)
